Mrs. Davis
I am so excited to welcome you to my classroom this year. You may be wondering who is Mrs. Davis. Well, I am a Hoosier but I spent my school age years in south Florida. I returned to Indiana to attended college at Manchester College, now Manchester University. Upon graduating, I moved to Rensselaer. My husband and I have three children. Our oldest son is eleven, youngest son is eight, and our daughter is six years old.
I taught Special Education at Monon Elementary for two years before I began teaching in Rensselaer. At Van, I have taught special education, fifth grade, and this is my tenth year teaching in the fourth grade. With my teaching background, I will meet the needs of the students within the classroom and prepare them for the next level of their educational journey.
In order to keep the lines of communication open, I may be messaging you throughout the school you to keep you informed regarding what is going on with your child in the classroom. I would love to hear any questions, comments, and/or concerns that you have also. I know that we all have very busy schedules, so here are a few ways that you can contact me:
School: 219-866-8212
Email: [email protected]
Message me through the DOJO app - this is the easier and quickest way to keep in contact

Agendas
Agendas are an important way we communicate with you. Your child's agenda will also have their homework assignments in it. They are to bring this agenda back and forth to school EVERY night. Please make sure that you read it over and sign daily. Your signature in the agenda tells me that you are aware of all homework for the night and that it has been completed, as well as knowledge of upcoming tests and projects. This agenda is also a great place to write notes to me. I make it a point to look at the agendas daily! I will initial near your message to let you know that I've seen your note.
